Quicksilver’s Silverflow and LogicielMac Update
8/05/2008Quicksilver has always been one of my top apps for the mac. Its unobtrusive, quick and extremely simple. The interface has never bothered me before either, until I found this new plugin which just blows the old interface out of the water!
Silverflow, created by Julius Eckert is an awesome new design for when you hit the command to get quicksilver running.

When you type in the start of an app or a process, all the icons appear at the top, which are then scrollable using the left and right arrows to view the rest in the list. Ok, maybe I just like it because its ‘pretty’ and shows me the cool icons mac has to offer, but compared against quicksilver’s original, why would you say no to getting this?
After been amazed by this [yes, I am easily amused] - I wondered around the rest of my RSS feeds [which is where I came across silverflow] and found something else which I thought was a must. As you can guess from the title of this post, the app is named LogicielMac Update. There are a few updates around on the net which do the exact same thing, but as this one sits neatly in the menu bar and also has a great interface, I had to download it to try it out.

Both are totally recommended - simple to use, not ‘in your face’ and a nice little present for your mac :)
